Przedsiębiostwo Handlowo-Usługowe Kiciński

The Kicińscy Homestead was founded by Antoni Kiciński in Karna after the second world war. The homestead consisted of a couple of small farm buildings situated on a couple of hectares of the cultivated land.

In the seventies the farm was taken over by Andrzej Kiciński, who changed its producing profile from milk production to pig farming. Over the years the farm and homestead developed. New farm buildings were built and the cultivated acreage was developed. In the nineties the onion farming was introduced.

On the farm Andrzej Kiciński works with his sons Marcin and Szymon. Andrzej is responsible for pig farming and crops cultivating, and his sons are responsible for onion production and processing.

Producing Profile of the Farm

Today onion is cultivated on the acreage of about 100 hectares.

The varieties of the cultivated onion are the most efficient and with long storage life. After the harvest onion is transported to the storehouses where it is used as manufacturing base for the Kiciński Company. We cultivate various plants apart from onion, including canola, barley, corn, rye, wheat and triticale. The crops cultivated are used as a pig feed. The high quality of our livestock has been appreciated by our clients, which are the greatest Meat Processing Plants in Poland and abroad.
